Default probe and Use my domain

Choose how a paid click reaches your landing page. Updated 2026-08-23

Both tracking methods analyze the same paid visit. They differ in where the click is first recorded.

Default probe

The ad opens your saved landing page directly, with no tracking redirect or DNS/CNAME setup. The asynchronous browser probe then reports the visit to JuicyTraffic, making Default probe the simplest setup.

The probe loader downloads asynchronously, so downloading it does not block HTML parsing. Edge accepts browser events and sends downstream enrichment, reporting, and decision work through the Queue after collection. This keeps backend processing outside the page-rendering path, although the probe still has a small network and JavaScript cost.

Use my domain

The ad first opens a tracking URL on your collection subdomain. JuicyTraffic records the click and returns a 302 redirect to the saved landing page. The browser probe, served from the same customer-controlled collection hostname, then joins its evidence to that click. Counter updates and Queue delivery continue after the redirect response, so the redirect does not wait for downstream processing.

Use my domain requires a configured collection hostname and is unlocked after a click-credit purchase. Use the default method when you do not need a customer-owned tracking hostname.
