Use click, placement, and campaign macros
Preserve advertising-platform values in a generated Campaign Link. Updated 2026-08-22Macros are placeholders that an advertising platform replaces when it sends a real visitor. They let JuicyTraffic show click ID, placement or zone, source, and campaign context.
Add macros safely
- Create the campaign in JuicyTraffic and choose its traffic source.
- Copy the generated URL.
- Add only the macros documented for that platform and destination field.
- Keep JuicyTraffic's existing
jt_parameter names unchanged. - Use the ad platform's link preview or test tool when available.
Manual browser tests
If you paste a URL containing a macro directly into a browser, the macro may remain literal because only the advertising platform replaces it. That does not prove the integration is broken. A real platform test click should arrive with the expanded value.
Identity and privacy
An advertising-platform click ID is supporting evidence, not JuicyTraffic's paid-click identity. It may be missing, duplicated, or replayed. JuicyTraffic creates its own click record and can use repeated platform values as a risk signal.
Do not put email addresses, names, or other direct personal data into campaign parameters.
