Review automation safely

Test provider access and limit the impact of protective actions. Last updated 2026-10-05 4 min read

Backend automation can change an external advertising account. Its setup is not exposed in the current console; these checks apply to existing or operator-managed API integrations.

Recommended rollout

  1. Save the provider credential and run Test connection.
  2. Confirm that the connection belongs to the intended workspace and provider account.
  3. Review recent Invalid clicks and campaign or placement mappings manually.
  4. Enable one supported action at a time.
  5. Monitor Activity for succeeded and failed operations.
  6. Confirm the result in the advertising platform itself.

A saved credential is not the same as a working provider adapter. The current backend tests ExoClick access through its provider API. Other provider tests report unavailable in this beta. Even a successful connection still requires supported actions and valid mappings.

If an action fails, leave the activity record intact, correct the connection or mapping, and test again. Do not repeatedly toggle the policy or rotate the credential-encryption key as a diagnostic step.
